    Message from CDP/HOD

"International certifications are the surest way to demonstrate to everyone - customers, competitors, suppliers, employees and investors - that the company is run using the industries best practices. Certifications improve a company’s overall performance, mitigate risk and remove uncertainty. This instills greater confidence in the company and opens new market opportunities. It is not a coincidence that MSC Malaysia Status companies that have participated in CDP programmes has achieved export growth of 79.18% which is more that three times the 23.40% export growth of all MSC Malaysia Status companies.

The 'carrot-and-stick' theory of motivation was extensively observed throughout the Industrial Age. It developed a mindset that to a certain extent remains applicable in today's traditional industrial environment.

FW Taylor of the Scientific Management Theory, who worked with Henry Ford, believed that motivation in the workplace is driven by money, thus the 'Carrot-and-Stick' approach lead to 'rewards schemes' for those who worked hard as well as the 'penalty schemes' for those who failed to meet work expectations.

A generalization of this approach can also be made with the infamous 20-70-10 management theory that was embedded in the GE culture, where the “carrot” drove the performance of the 20-70 portion of the organization and the “stick” used on the 10. This mindset was indeed successful in increasing the productivity of various industries 50-fold.
